Description
Be an integral part of an agile team that's constantly pushing the envelope to enhance, build, and deliver top-notch technology products.As an Active Directory Services Senior Lead Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Corporate Sector - Chief Technology Office, you will play a crucial role in an agile team dedicated to enhancing, building, and delivering trusted, market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable manner. Your expertise and contributions will promote significant business impact as you apply your deep technical knowledge and problem-solving skills to address a wide range of challenges across various technologies and applications.
Job responsibilities
- Regularly provides technical guidance and direction to support the business and its technical teams, contractors, and vendors
- Develops secure and high-quality production code, and reviews and debugs code written by others
- Leverage experience with modern programming languages, including Python, to develop Active Directory Services and other related Microsoft Identity Products
- Drives decisions that influence the product design, application functionality, and technical operations and processes
- Serves as a function-wide subject matter expert in one or more areas of focus
- Actively contributes to the engineering community as an advocate of firmwide frameworks, tools, and practices of the Software Development Life Cycle
- Influences peers and project decision-makers to consider the use and application of leading-edge technologies
- Adds to the team culture of diversity, opportunity, inclusion, and respect
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience
- Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
- Advanced in one or more programming languages including Python
- Working proficiency and advanced technical knowledge surrounding Microsoft Identity products specifically Windows Active Directory and other related identity products
- Understanding of how modern auth protocols function (e.g, OIDC/OAuth, SAML) and software offerings by Google Cloud services across the IaaS, PaaS and SaaS stacks
- Advanced knowledge of software applications and technical processes with considerable in-depth knowledge in one or more technical disciplines (e.g., APIs, cloud, containers, mobile, etc.)
- Ability to tackle design and functionality problems independently with little to no oversight
- Confident and proven communicator with ability to influence.

- Practical cloud native experience
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Experience with public cloud services such as AWS Managed Active Directory, Google Cloud eco-system including GCP, (e.g, Google Cloud Identity)
- Working understanding of integrating disconnected cloud services via identity federation. Both from workforce and workload perspectives
- Advanced in one or more programming language(s): PowerShell / Desired State Configuration (DSC), Terraform, and Ansible
