About the Team

The SAP reporting team (Reinsurance), within the Finance Reporting & Analytics product area, delivers performant, scalable, and maintainable solutions that enable our stakeholders to quickly extract knowledge from large and disparate financial datasets. Our solutions support financial reconciliation, steering, and auditing based primarily from subledger data on the SAP S/4 HANA and Microsoft Azure Data platforms. You will act as an expert within this team, with responsibility (development & maintenance along the full life cycle) for our team's solutions. This includes the design and implementation of functionalities that enable fast and reliable reporting of data. Specifically, you will need to understand the best use of SAP S/4 HANA, OO ABAP and Microsoft Azure as a platform, collaborating with customers as well as contributing to and fostering best practices and standards for your area of expertise.

About the Role

The ideal candidate should have a proven record of accomplishment in business-facing roles and technical proficiency in the end-to-end creation and implementation of reporting solutions for 8+ years. Primary skills should include SAP Analytics Applications (Embedded Analytics and SAP ABAP), with secondary skill set in Cloud Analytics Applications (ideally Microsoft Azure, Databricks and PowerBI). In this role, you will have the unique opportunity to implement Analytics solutions in the finance landscape.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide in-depth expertise in architecting Analytics solutions and data modeling leveraging SAP and Microsoft Platforms.
• Build and enhance Analytical solutions based on SAP Embedded Analytics (CDS views), OO ABAP, Microsoft PowerBI and Databricks.
• Partner closely with business stakeholders to capture their requirements, craft detailed functional design and efficiently deliver prototypes leading to end-to-end analytics solutions on time.
• Mentor junior team members.

About You

We are looking for a passionate application engineer with proven expert knowledge in various Analytics technologies with a focus on SAP analytics and Microsoft PowerBI with Databricks working knowledge.

Requirements

Experience

• 8+ years of hands-on experience with designing and implementing reporting and advanced analytics solutions based on Embedded Analytics (CDS views, ABAP), HANA native DB is an advantage.
• 6+ years of hands-on SAP ABAP development experience. Strong command of ABAP objects, REST API, OO ABAP, BAPIs, SQL, performance tuning and debugging.
• Strong experience in all phases of the Analytics solution development process including requirements gathering, architecture design, implementation, testing and documentation.
• Show well-structured, analytical thinking and the ability to explain process clearly and understandably to a non-technical audience.
• A bachelor's degree in computer science or IT/computer science or equivalent is required.
• Experience with financial systems and/or financial services companies is preferred.
• Very strong verbal and written skills and experience working in an agile environment.

Good to Have

• Basic functional knowledge of FPSL or Bank Analyzer with exposure to CVPM framework.
• Working experience with Databricks, Python, Microsoft Azure Analytics components and PowerBI.
