- Data Coordinating Center: Providing statistical, data management, and project coordination support across clinical trials.
- Participant Engagement: Ensuring trials are inclusive, accessible, and responsive to the communities served by our health system.
- Applied Methodologies: Supporting the development and application of innovative trial designs, analytic methods, and implementation science approaches. The original areas of focus within Applied Methodologies will include Artificial Intelligence, Genomics, and Imaging.

- Academic and Scientific Leadership: 1) Foster high-impact research by supporting methodological innovation in clinical trials, supporting the recruitment and retention of exceptional faculty and staff, and fostering a culture of continuous professional development. 2) Guide the development of scientific collaborations that leverage CTMC resources to support industry and non-industry extramural funding and peer-reviewed publications. 3) Advance a robust academic portfolio for the CTMC, including grant submissions, methodological research, and mentoring of early-career faculty.
- Collaboration and Integration: 1) Serve as the lead connector between CTMC and the NCCT, ensuring alignment, timely communication, efficient integration of activities, and a high level of service provision. 2) Collaborate with institutional leaders in biostatistics, epidemiology, artificial intelligence, informatics, community engagement, regulatory science, social sciences, and other disciplines to create synergies and amplify CTMC impact. 3) Engage clinical departments, principal investigators, and research units across the enterprise to promote use of CTMC services.
- Faculty and Staff Development: 1) Recruit, mentor, and retain a high-performing team of associate directors, biostatisticians, data scientists, and administrative staff. 2) Create career development opportunities, especially for early- and mid-career faculty in clinical trials methodology and leadership. 3) Ensure an inclusive, collaborative, and mission-driven culture across the CTMC.
- Education & Training: 1) Provide oversight and strategic direction for educational programming in clinical trial methodology across Advocate Health and Wake Forest University School of Medicine. 2) Develop and implement training opportunities for faculty, staff, and learners focused on clinical trial design, biostatistics, regulatory science, and trial operations. 3) Partner with academic leadership to integrate CTMC resources into curricula for graduate and professional education programs, including mentorship of trainees pursuing careers in clinical and translational research.
