As the Director of Software Engineering at JPMorgan Chase within the Markets Technology division, you will lead multiple technical areas and oversee the operations of several departments. You will work collaboratively across various technical domains, utilizing your cross-functional expertise to promote the adoption and execution of technical strategies within diverse teams. Your role is vital in sustaining the firm's leadership in industry trends, best practices, and technological advancements.

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills:

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 10+ years applied experience. In addition, 5+ years of experience leading technologists to manage, anticipate and solve complex technical items within your domain of expertise
• Proven track record as an Engineering Manager or similar leadership role in a dynamic, technology-driven environment.
• Mastery of Python, with Athena experience
• Hands-on expertise in managing large-scale enterprise platforms, in post trade technology.
• Demonstrated success in leading application modernization and cloud migration initiatives.
• Exceptional problem-solving skills and a data-driven decision-making approach.
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with a talent for collaborating with global teams and stakeholders.
• Ability to juggle multiple priorities and projects in a fast-paced, ever-evolving environment.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills:

• Experience in the financial services industry, especially within Commercial and Investment Banking.
• Proficiency in agile development methodologies and practices.
• In-depth understanding of regulatory requirements and compliance in the financial sector.
