Business Overview
Rakuten Payment is the company responsible for payments within the Rakuten Group. We provide payment services such as "Rakuten Pay" and "Rakuten Point Card," connecting participating merchants (stores where Rakuten Payment services can be used) with users, and contributing to the promotion of a more convenient cashless society.
The Customer Service Development Department is responsible for developing cross-functional services for Rakuten Payment's participating merchants and for internal use within Rakuten Payment.
We are responsible for the entire service development lifecycle of platforms that provide services across various payment services, from planning to post-release operation. We handle a wide range of services, including management tools for participating merchants that support streamlining operations and improving sales, as well as data integration platforms and fraud detection systems that utilize AI to support internal operations. Unlike being limited to specific businesses, a characteristic of our department is that you can acquire a broad understanding of market trends and business knowledge of Rakuten Payment services. Position Details
Overview:
As a project manager, you will be responsible for managing product development projects and DX promotion projects that are provided across Rakuten Payment's participating companies and internally within Rakuten Payment. You will be responsible for conceiving and planning products that contribute to users and business, stakeholder management, defining ROI, designing execution formations, defining project deliverables, risk management, and delivery planning.

Task Image:
Project managers and engineers work as a united team (4-9 members per team) to develop and operate services.
Nationality Ratio: 60% foreign nationals, 40% Japanese

Responsibilities:
Lead the project to success as a united team while performing risk management, WBS management, and visualization of dependencies for multiple teams of project managers, product managers, and engineers.
Setting and gaining agreement on project milestones
Organizing project formations
Defining project deliverables
Risk management
Understanding and reporting on project status

Mandatory Qualifications:
- 3+ years of project management experience
- Communication skills to involve stakeholders and move things forward ---
- Experience managing projects with multiple teams
- A challenging spirit and the ability to perform tasks proactively Team management experience (including member development)

Desired Qualifications:
- System replacement project experience
- Scrum experience
- Experience facilitating retrospectives
- Experience implementing 3S (SAP, Salesforce, Service Now)

Future Challenges (as a Department):
Strengthening the development system to meet diverse needs: Rakuten Payment continues to grow rapidly, and requests from participating companies and internal departments are becoming more diverse and sophisticated. Currently, we are unable to respond quickly to all needs with the current personnel. Therefore, it is an urgent task to strengthen the development system and build a system that can provide the best service to more users. Solving this issue will accelerate the growth of Rakuten Payment.

Number of products and services being developed concurrently: Approximately 10 services
Number of projects per service: 4-5 projects
