- **Engineering Lead Analyst Vice President
Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Engineering Lead Analyst to drive the design, development, and maintenance of scalable, high-performance enterprise-level software systems. This pivotal role within an agile development team demands deep expertise in microservices architecture, .net framework, and an unwavering commitment to software engineering best practices.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the design, development, and implementation of high-volume, low-latency microservices for mission-critical applications using, ensuring seamless integration with front ends.
- Drive the creation of clean, well-designed, testable, and efficient code. Conduct rigorous code reviews and implement comprehensive unit tests leveraging frameworks and testing tools.
- Own the end-to-end application lifecycle, including development, integration testing, and deployment processes within a robust CI/CD framework. Utilize BitBucket/GitHub, Artifactory, Jenkins, and BMC RLM for efficient and automated software delivery.
- Proactively tune application performance and availability to consistently meet defined Service Level Objectives (SLOs) and Service Level Agreements (SLAs). Implement comprehensive monitoring, contribute actively to Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) initiatives for automation and operational excellence, and embed robust security measures in compliance with corporate standards.
- Provide critical production support, conduct thorough root cause analysis, and implement timely resolutions to minimize service disruptions. Collaborate on planning and executing end-to-end resiliency and business continuity tests.
- Actively participate in all phases of the Agile development lifecycle, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives, utilizing tools like JIRA for effective task management.
- A strong understanding of user-centered design principles and the ability to translate design concepts into functional interfaces.
- Ability to implement responsive and adaptive designs for various devices and screen sizes.
- Ensuring consistent user experiences across different web browsers.
- Experience with UI component libraries (e.g., Material-UI, Ant Design, Bootstrap) or building custom reusable components.
- Serve as a technology subject matter expert for internal and external stakeholders and provide direction for all firm mandated controls and compliance initiatives, all projects within the group and in creating a technology domain roadmap
- Ensure that all integration of functions meet business goals
- Define necessary system enhancements to deploy new products and process enhancements
- Recommend product customization for system integration
- Identify problem causality, business impact and root causes
- Exhibit knowledge of how own specialty area contributes to the business and apply knowledge of competitors, products and services
- Advise or mentor junior team members
- Impact the engineering function by influencing decisions through advice, counsel or facilitating services
- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
Qualifications:
- 6 to 10 years of relevant experience in software industry, including 10+ years of development experience
- Experience working in Financial Services or a large complex and/or global environment
- Ability to manage projects
- Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication
- Comprehensive knowledge of design metrics, analytics tools, benchmarking activities and related reporting to identify best practices
- Demonstrated analytic/diagnostic skills
- Ability to work in a matrix environment and partner with virtual teams
- Ability to work independently, multi-task, and take ownership of various parts of a project or initiative
- Ability to work under pressure and manage to tight deadlines or unexpected changes in expectations or requirements
Education:
- Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience
Required Technical Skills & Experience:
- 6 to 10 years of proven experience in software development, with significant hands-on experience designing and building microservices.
- Strong proficiency in .NET and .NET core, object-oriented programming principles, and Angular.
- Proficiency in core web technologies: HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript.
- Modern Frameworks: Deep experience with MVC framework, Angular Material or similar modern JavaScript frameworks.
- Expert understanding of microservices architecture patterns, common challenges, and best practices.
- Practical experience with Docker and container orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes or AWS ECS.
- Proficiency with CI/CD tools including Jenkins, BitBucket/GitHub/Git, Artifactory, and release management tools (e.g., BMC RLM).
- Experience with testing methodologies and modern JavaScript testing tools.
- Experience with Microsoft SQL Server relational database. Working experience with Oracle and MongoDB.
- Solid understanding of RESTful API design principles and development experience.

$125,760.00 - $188,640.00
