Role Summary
As the Global Head of Technology and Infrastructure, you will be responsible for global leadership of IT Operations, Infrastructure, and Security. The role oversees the IT organization tasks and responsibilities, which include applications, reporting, infrastructure, networks, security & compliance and end point management, along with vendor management and contract negotiations. You will define and deploy the future IT strategy and roadmap in consultation with cross functional leadership to ensure the roadmap is grounded in broad business knowledge coupled with a vision to drive efficiencies, strengthen competitiveness, achieve our strategic growth goals and maintain robust security.
This position will oversee all teams and processes to ensure efficient, effective, reliable and secure global technical operations. This role will provide direction and oversight for all major decisions impacting our technology footprint, ensuring high availability and optimal performance across all systems.
This individual will also have primary point of contact in advising executive leadership and the Audit Committee on critical topics involving technology and/or security, engaging direct IT leadership within the team to present as appropriate.
In This Role, You Will Focus On:
Protecting Fellowes Business Continuity
- Ensure that solutions meet all legal, compliance, internal controls, and accounting standards.
- Ensure information security policies, products, and procedures are keeping with industry regulations and all relevant legislation.
- Oversee security monitoring, systems health check, backup and recovery systems, and disaster recovery (DR) readiness to ensure resilience and compliance.
- Advocate and retain primary ownership of company's information security vision. Conduct routine communication via written and in person communication with leadership and Audit Committee members on security status, threats, and remedial action.
- Oversee and manage IT business continuity and disaster recovery plan, ensuring effectiveness and continuous improvement
- Lead the evaluation, adoption, and governance of emerging technologies, including Artificial Intelligence (AI), to drive innovation, operational efficiency, and secure integration across global business functions.
Simplifying Operations and Reduce Cost Structures
- Oversee IT procurement lifecycle with internal and external stakeholders. Ensure strategic sourcing mentality grounded in business efficiency, cost, and capabilities.
- Oversee integration of system and infrastructure for acquisitions and/or divestitures.
Streamlining Systems and Automate Workflows
- Provide leadership in planning and directing managers and directors overseeing different IT functions including Project Management, Database Admin team, systems administration, network operations, PC/desktop support, applications and reporting
- Develop/Refine the technical solutioning processes to ensure a holistic approach that considers all potential solutions across multiple departments and capabilities but derives the optimal solution.
- Act as front-line contact with others in the organization, ensuring key competencies such as full issue resolution and communications, among other things, are being addressed fully and to completion
- Verify, modify and design architectures of new and existing infrastructures for robustness, cost effective development and business growth
- Assist management in the selection, evaluation, negotiation and management of 3rd party services and vendors
Enabling our business vision and strategy through technology solutions
- Work with various business leaders, alongside the Director of Enterprise Applications, to develop a comprehensive technology roadmap. Includes oversight of the planning and execution of our global technology portfolio.
- Ensure alignment and cohesion between technical capabilities and/or new platforms and optimizing our technical infrastructure.
- A visionary, pro-active leadership style with exceptional detail orientation and a drive to exceed expectations
What You Bring to the Team
- Bachelor's Degree in information technology, Computer Science or related field. A Master's degree in technology or business is preferred.
- Minimum 10 years related experience comprised of both management experience and hands-on technical experience in most of the following services and technologies:
- WAN/LAN networks (Cisco)
- Storage/SAN (Pure)
- Remote connectivity (Citrix/Xen)
- Microsoft Technologies (E.g.: AD, Azure, Office 365, Teams)
- Disaster recovery
- Cloud technologies
- Strong understanding of Cybersecurity frameworks (NIST, CIS Controls etc.)
- 5+ years of process mapping, selection, implementation and support of technologies that deliver business solutions and enhanced capabilities
- Extensive experience leading IT delivery teams inclusive of scope, scheduling, budgeting and project planning
- Experience with distributed operations. Can understand the complexities and considerations of integrating a successful data driven connected enterprise.
The hiring range for this position in Itasca, IL is $215,000 - $230,000 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills and experience, among other factors. An annual incentive may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
