Description
NEIWPCC is seeking an enthusiastic Human Resources intern to support recruiting, benefits administration, database management, and other employee-related projects. This is a great opportunity for an emerging professional to contribute to an environmental non-profit by supporting staff in their work and attracting new personnel dedicated to advancing clean water in the Northeast.
What You Will Do
You will assist with NEIWPCC’s recruitment, hiring, and onboarding processes as well as administrative support for our benefits enrollments and leave functions. You will also learn to support training initiatives, employee engagement, data management, records retention, and information distribution along with other projects as assigned.
Preferred Qualifications
The successful candidate will have:
- At least 2-3 years towards a bachelor’s degree in human resources, social services, business management, communications, or related field.
- An interest in environmental issues or non-profit organizations.
- Good communications skills and a strong eye for detail.
- Ability to navigate computer systems and experience with Microsoft Office Suite is needed. Experience managing online accounts, virtual meeting platforms, and internal databases is preferred.
Logistics
This part-time internship position is based in NEIWPCC’s headquarters office, located in Lowell, MA. Duties will be performed in an office setting, telework is not permitted. This position is anticipated to work 15-20 hours per week, beginning in November 2025 and extending through June 2026, with flexibility.
Pay
The hourly pay range is anticipated to be $17 - $20, depending on experience and qualifications.
