Description
Join us for an impactful opportunity to advance your data stewardship career and shape our data governance practices.As a Data Steward in the Data Management team, you play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and consistency of metadata for critical business data elements. You help drive data quality, support governance requirements, and foster a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration.
Job responsibilities
- Identify and remediate data quality and metadata issues across multiple environments.
- Gather, validate, and publish metadata for critical data elements using various tools and processes.
- Interpret and apply data policies, standards, and processes to large volumes of data elements.
- Engage with subject matter experts to enhance understanding of business processes and systems of record.
- Update terms and definitions for data elements in partnership with business and technology teams.
- Contribute to the development of new tools and processes for efficient metadata management.
- Produce managerial and regulatory reporting related to metadata and data quality.
Required qualifications, capabilities and skills
- Bachelor's degree in business or related field, or equivalent work experience with at least six years in data consumption, metadata, or data quality.
- Minimum of five years of experience in a major financial services organization.
- Minimum of three years in data usage, process analysis, process improvement, or technology development/support.
- Proficiency in Alteryx and performing SQL queries, including joins.
- Basic analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to assess business and technical impacts.
- Ability to interpret and apply standards and guidelines efficiently and accurately.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills
- Working knowledge of Tableau, JIRA, Collibra Databook, SharePoint, Confluence, and Collibra Data Quality.
- Advanced skills in MS Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, Project).
- Hands-on experience with AWS, Snowflake, and LLM tools for prompt engineering and automation.
- Highly organized, persistent, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
