Summary:

The Model Risk Specialist is a Second Line of Defense role in the Risk Management function. The role is primarily responsible for managing the model risk activities across all stages of the model lifecycle.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and complete the Model Lifecycle from end to end for new/ existing models in the bank.
• Validate risk models not limited to scorecards, IRB/ECL/AML models etc.
• Perform risk assessment on Artificial Intelligence and Data Analytics (AIDA) models and GenAI models such as performing FEAT assessment in accordance with MAS guideline.
• Ensure effective embedment of the Model Risk controls in the model lifecycle
• Ensure the Model Risk framework, policy, standards are up to date and in line with regulatory requirements.
• Provide advisory on Model Risk governance best practices to the stakeholders.
• Implement the automation of model governance processes, process synchronisation and data standardization across regional teams.
• Champion the model risk culture, and promote model risk awareness, such as through training.
• Report model risk findings to senior management
• Work effectively as a team member with other quantitative analysts in the Bank, as well as with external consultants.

Eligibility:

• Bachelor's degree in mathematics, statistics, finance, or a related field
• 3+ years of experience in Model Risk Management or a related field
• Strong understanding of model risk governance and regulatory requirements
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
