- Open-Rank Tenure-Track Positions in MIS
Description
The Department of Management Information Systems (MIS) in the Fox School of Business at Temple University invites applications for two open-rank, tenure-track faculty positions, beginning Fall 2026. While our primary hiring focus is at the Assistant Professor level, we will also consider outstanding candidates at higher ranks. We seek scholars whose research focuses on Artificial Intelligence (AI) and/or Cybersecurity, though applicants working in other major areas of Information Systems (IS) are also encouraged to apply. A Ph.D. in IS or a closely related field is required by the time of appointment.
The MIS Department at the Fox School has a bold vision for business research and teaching and we invite colleagues who share this ambition to join us. We are particularly interested in candidates who demonstrate a deep understanding of IT and integrate this expertise into their research and teaching. Applicants should have a strong record of scholarship or clear potential to publish in premier IS journals such as Management Information Systems Quarterly (MISQ) and Information Systems Research (ISR).
Responsibilities include research, teaching, and service. The standard teaching load is three courses per year, preferably in areas such as cybersecurity, cloud architecture, and AI. The successful candidate is also expected to contribute service to the department, school, university, and broader community as appropriate.
Salary is competitive and commensurate with rank and qualifications.
Application Procedure: Please send the following materials electronically to [email protected] as a zip file with a name starting with the applicant’s last name.
