The Department of Operations Research and Financial Engineering (ORFE) at Princeton University invites applications for an appointment in Statistics at the Assistant, Associate or Full Professor level with a target starting date of September 1, 2026. The search is across the broad areas of Statistics and their applications in machine learning. The ORFE department is part of the School of Engineering and Applied Science which is pursuing several initiatives in related areas.
To be successful, the candidate must have a strong commitment to excellence in research and in teaching at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. The ORFE department believes that the diversity of our faculty, staff, and students is essential to the distinction and excellence of our research and academic programs.

Expected Salary Range: Assistant Professor: $157,000-$176,000, Associate Professor: $164,000-$234,000, Full Professor: $213,000-$365,000
The University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's qualifications, work experience, education/training, key skills, market, collective bargaining agreements as applicable, and organizational considerations when extending an offer. The posted salary range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate for a full-time position; salaries for part-time positions are pro-rated accordingly.
