The Permanente Medical Group, Inc. (TPMG) is one of the largest medical groups in the nation with over 10,000 physicians, 21 medical centers, numerous clinics throughout Northern and Central California, and an over 80-year tradition of providing quality medical care. The Division of Pediatric Surgery at Kaiser Permanente-Oakland Medical Center is seeking a fellowship-trained Pediatric Surgeon to join our outstanding team.
PEDIATRIC SURGEON
Opening in Oakland, California
- Education/Training: Candidates must have completed a 2-year accredited pediatric surgery fellowship program.
- Experience: Ideally, the candidate should have 3 to 5 years of experience of practice in pediatric surgery.
- Ideal Candidate: We are looking for someone who is collegial, collaborative, and enthusiastic to join a busy clinical practice with substantial opportunities for teaching and process improvement.
- Role Responsibilities: The position involves managing the full spectrum of pediatric conditions, including managing tumors, neonatal congenital anomalies, lobectomies, and inflammatory bowel disease (IBD). Note that ECMO, transplant, burn, and trauma cases are not included.
- Practice Scope: Our practice covers a wide range of pediatric surgical conditions, from routine cases to advanced minimally invasive surgeries.
- Call Schedule: The call schedule is 1:4. Currently, the team consists of three pediatric surgeons and two physician assistants.
- Location: The position is based solely at the main medical center in Oakland, CA, which is one of three Pediatric Tertiary Care Medical Centers in Northern California for Kaiser Permanente, offering a full spectrum of pediatric services

Full-time annual salary range is $523,800 to $540,000. *Some incentive opportunities are estimates based on potential premium pay.
