Description
Job Description:A Day in the Life
- Set the direction for advanced analytics projects and guide data science initiatives aligned with organizational objectives.
- Collaborate with executive leadership to identify opportunities for leveraging data to drive business solutions.
- Lead end-to-end data science projects, from problem formulation and data acquisition to model development, deployment, and monitoring.
- Ensure that projects are delivered on time, within scope, and with high quality.
- Apply cutting-edge statistical, machine learning, and artificial intelligence techniques to solve complex business problems.
- Stay abreast of the latest research and incorporate new methodologies as appropriate.
- Drive experimentation and innovation, identifying opportunities to improve existing processes, products, and services using data science.
- Work closely with product managers, data engineers, software developers, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into analytic solutions. Foster a culture of data literacy across the organization.
- Coach and mentor junior and mid-level data scientists, providing technical guidance, career development, and support. Lead by example in best practices for code, modeling, and documentation.
- Design, build, and validate advanced analytical models using a variety of tools and programming languages
- Ensure adherence to data privacy, security, and ethical guidelines in all analyses and model deployments.
- Present findings, insights, and recommendations to technical and non-technical audiences, including executives, in clear, compelling ways.
- Create documentation and reports to share methodologies and results.
- Lead cross-functional teams on strategic initiatives, acting as a subject matter expert for data science questions.

We are looking for someone who brings
- Experience:
- Master's or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Data Science, or a related quantitative field.
- 8+ years of experience in data science, machine learning, or advanced analytics, with a proven track record of successful project delivery and leadership.
- Technical/Computer Skills:
- Expertise in statistical modeling, machine learning algorithms, deep learning, data mining, and predictive analytics.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, and SQL, and familiarity with big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark).
- Experience with cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure) and MLOps tools for deployment and monitoring of models.
- Experience building and deploying large-scale, production-grade machine learning systems.
- Strong knowledge of data visualization tools and techniques.
- Strong critical thinking skills and the ability to creatively solve complex, ambiguous challenges.
- Commitment to ethical data science practices and knowledge of regulatory frameworks relevant to data privacy and security.
- Other Skills:
- Demonstrated ability to influence organizational strategy through data-driven insights.
- Demonstrated ability to solve business problems and communicate insights to drive decision-making to both a technical and non-technical audience
- Strong mentorship and coaching skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interpret and convey complex information clearly to diverse audiences
- Track record of collaborating across disciplines and with stakeholders at all levels.
