Job Description:Business Overview
Rakuten Payment, Inc. is the Rakuten Group's payment arm.
It provides payment services such as "Rakuten Pay" and "Rakuten Point Card," connecting merchants (stores where Rakuten Payment services can be used) with users, and contributing to the promotion of a more convenient cashless society.
Department Overview
The Customer Service Development Department is responsible for developing cross-cutting services for Rakuten Payment's merchant partners and for internal use within Rakuten Payment, Inc.
This department is consistently involved in the development of platform services that span various payment services, from the planning stage through to post-release operation. We handle a wide range of services, including management tools for merchants that support their operational efficiency and sales growth, as well as AI-powered data integration platforms and fraud detection systems that assist internal operations.
A distinctive feature of this role is that it is not limited to a specific business, allowing for the acquisition of a broad understanding of Rakuten Payment service market trends and business knowledge.

Position Details
Overview:
As a Product Manager, you will be responsible for the development and operation of products provided across the board to Rakuten Payment's merchant partners and to internal Rakuten Payment teams. You will conceptualize and plan products that contribute to users and business, negotiate and discuss with various stakeholders, and drive product development in collaboration with engineers. After service release, you will contribute to the expansion of the product by implementing measures to improve features and increase usage rates.
Product managers and engineers work together as a single team (4 to 9 members per team) to develop and operate services with a focus on contributing to users and the business.

Nationality Ratio: 60% non-Japanese, 40% Japanese

Communication with foreign national members and offshore members.
Reading and creating technical documents.

Mandatory Qualifications:
- More than 3 years of experience in the development and operation of web applications.
- Experience as a Product Manager / Producer / Director for web services.
- Communication skills to engage stakeholders and drive initiatives forward.
- Ability to promote system development in cooperation with engineers.
- A challenging spirit and the ability to proactively perform tasks.
- Experience with waterfall development.
- Experience in team management (including member development).
- Experience in system development as an engineer.
