We are now looking for a Product Manager focused on quantum algorithms and error mitigation to join our team in Munich.
This role is central to how we deliver value to our customers-through both cloud and on-premises platforms-and will help bridge the gap between quantum R&D and real-world business needs.
What will I be doing?
As Product Manager, you'll guide and shape the development of IQM's quantum algorithm offerings by:
- Identifying customer pain points via interviews, market research, and competitive analysis.
- Defining and refining product strategy and roadmap in collaboration with the Algorithms & Error Control department.
- Prioritizing R&D activities based on business insights.
- Driving MVP development and prototyping to test market and technical assumptions.
- Leading go-to-market activities with the sales and marketing teams.
- Supporting business development, sales, and tendering processes.
- Coordinating with cross-functional teams, including Quantum Cloud Platform and Product.
What skills do I need?
- MSc or Ph.D. in Physics, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
- Strong understanding of quantum algorithms and error mitigation techniques.
- Ability to convert technical development into business impact.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to lead without formal authority in a cross-functional team.
- Strategic thinking, prioritization, and project planning skills.
- Willingness to travel (up to 20%).
- Prior hands-on exposure to quantum computing R&D or commercialization is an advantage.
- Familiarity with professional software engineering principles is an advantage.
