Description
Software Engineering & Development (State Street Financial Services, Inc.; Atlanta, Georgia): Will provide electronic trading platforms for multiple asset classes. This is a hands-on backend developer position within a small elite development team that moves very fast. The products are built on Java, Node.js and Oracle on the server side. Specific duties of the position include: Writing clean and quality code; Design and implement features for Fund Connection applications; Deploy Fund Connection microservices to AWS; Work on integration and post production defect analysis and resolution; and Technical support for Fund Connection applications. Hybrid-remote telecommuting permitted pursuant to Company policy.
Minimum requirements: Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical field; plus 5 years of experience as a Software Developer or any other occupation/title providing relevant development experience. Alternatively, the employer will accept a Master’s degree or its equivalent in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical field; plus 3 years of experience as a Software Developer or any other occupation/title providing relevant development experience.
Must also have: Demonstrated knowledge and experience with core Java 11+ and JEE technologies such as concurrency, JDBC, or Spring; Demonstrated knowledge and experience with Node.js and GraphQL; Strong skills with Object Oriented design and code refactoring; Demonstrated knowledge and experience with functional and reactive programming (FRP); Demonstrated knowledge and experience with data modeling and database development (SQL, PL/SQL); Demonstrated knowledge and experience with microservices architecture and Kubernetes; and Strong communication skills and work ethic. (Unless otherwise indicated, State Street is seeking the stated ability in the skills listed above with no specific number of years or amount of experience required. All experience can be gained concurrently.) Salary: $152,200 to $180,000 per year.
